How Harvard and MIT helped me to create a Multi Million Dollar StartUp?

Updated: May 20, 2022

Hi Myself Arpan Mondal. I have applied to all IVY LEAGUE collages and got rejected from every single one. I was getting rejected one by one from my dream universities.

But they told me you have talent and for this word I have paid $169. This inspires me to stand up once again and prove to the world. A rejection is not the end, it's the beginning.

If we consider the valuation of the project Pride of Lions, it comes near about 5 million dollars.

I want to thank all the above mentioned university for rejecting me. This led me the way to create a new dimension in life. Otherwise I would have been sitting is dorms and doing assignments, projects also get to work on my idea as well I must say that also.

My Essay : That I wrote for MIT.

It was 2017, when I just passed class 8 and moving to class 9 then I read a book in the meantime 'The Science of Self Realisation

by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada'. This book actually changed my life and the way I think what my purpose in life. Then I actually went on to my village

what is their problem and what they are suffering the most. Then I found out the biggest problem that is being faced by them is the quality of education and ambition in life.

I found that nobody has a goal in life, all are busy finding small helper jobs for a small amount of money to support their family. This was leading to a very bad case

90% of the student of our locality is not going to school. Through which they are leading an aimless life. Then I feel like this is very much injustice made to them as

their present small earning is hollowing their future goal.

Then suddenly, One day I thought of making an evening school which I consulted with my teachers and councillor. They all help me to structure the educational start-up

"VISION". This start-up helped me to structure my life and gave me the purpose of my life. I found that this was much need for my village people. In 2017 we started with

10 children, now we have about 65 children. I am very proud of myself that I finally using my education to some sort of good deed. Our learning is all is being'

done in English as it is the most speaking language of the world we are establishing this because I feel we need to have a common mode of communication which is very important in the coming years. As most of the child is form the age of 10-15 years we basically focus on the self-development part of a child and to find a passion for the children basically finding what they wanted to become in life by introducing every kind of activities that is possible within our means.

Previously when we asked the children what they want to become when they grow up they had no answers. They were sure about what they will do in the recent future but they were totally blank about their future. So then the name came of the start-up. In the entire process, my school councillor helped a lot by convincing them. I remember that what we used to say to the parents to convince them to send to the evening school. Those were like " If you educate your son, he or she will be able to fill bank form, hospital forms, etc.

I remember that day and today those people were just opposite now , and the best part about our school is we have a child from age 5 to 74.

Now we are not focusing only on educational parts but also on helping farmers to build organic farms. This is a recent fact which we have seen in our areas that only 9% of land used fertilisers in 2015, standing in 2020 94% of the land used fertilisers. That's why we started an organic farming movement to decrease the rate of fertilisers in vegetables etc.

‘When one teaches, two learn.’ –Robert Heinlein

After all this, I have learned three things very important:-

1. Whatever the situation comes just go through it and you will get to learn new things.

2. Never stop 'LEARNING'

3. Teaching is the most rewarding job in the entire world. It gives you a different kind of happiness, which no other occupation can give in life. When a student who once feared learning, now they can't live without it they are enjoying it. You get to see those struggles of that student and when he or she qualifies with flying colour. It gives a different level of satisfaction.

I sincere think I follow my words. I will never stop learning.
